Foundations of Yin: The Basics of Self Care through Yin Yoga

You’ll learn:
+ Theory of Yin Yang 
+ Theory of 5 Elements (Wu Xing)
+ 12 Main Meridians & associated organs (Zang Fu)
+ Common healing pressure points on each meridian
+ Tools for self care
+ Applying the theories and self care techniques with examples class structure

Each workshop will have about 2 hrs of lecture/discussion and about 1 hour of practice/movement.

3 Sessions:
Session 1 – Friday 11/2; 5:30pm -8:30 pm  
Session 2 – Saturday 11/3; 9:30am - 12:30pm
Session 3 – Sunday 11/4; 9:30am – 12:30 pm

FOUNDATIONS AND POWER IN CULTIVATING DEEP REST.  
The relationship between human movement and Yin/Yang + 5 Elements. A Focus on the Water Element, Kidney/Urinary Bladder, and associated self-care/movement. 

Session 2 – Saturday 11/3; 9:30am - 12:30pm
ADAPTABILITY & CLEARING OBSTACLES AND STOKING INNER JOY.  
Focus on Wood Element, Liver/Gall Bladder meridians along with the Fire Element, Heart/Pericardium/Small Intestine/Triple Burner meridians, and associated self-care/movement.  

Session 3 – Sunday 11/4; 9:30am – 12:30 pm
EMBRACING SELF-NOURISHMENT AND CONNECTING TO BREATH & THE ART OF LETTING GO.  
Focus on Earth Element, Spleen/Stomach meridians along with the Metal Element, Lung/Large Intestine meridians and associated self-care/movement.
